MEREK – Terms & Conditions

1. General Information This website and the services provided under MEREK are operated by Aykut Subaşi, a sole proprietorship. MEREK is not a traditional accommodation business. It is a space designed for focused work, living and community. By applying to or staying at MEREK, you agree to the following terms.

2. Application & Acceptance MEREK operates on an application-based admission system.

  • All requests are reviewed individually
  • MEREK reserves the right to accept or decline any request without providing a reason
  • The purpose is to maintain the quality and structure of the environment

3. Minimum Stay

  • The recommended minimum stay at MEREK is 7 nights.
  • Shorter stays may be considered at the discretion of MEREK, depending on availability and alignment with the space. This is essential to preserve the rhythm and experience of the space.

4. Booking & Payments

  • Reservations are not made directly through the website
  • All bookings are handled via direct communication channels Once your request is approved:
  • A 20% prepayment is required to confirm the reservation
  • The remaining 80% is paid upon arrival All payments are made via secure payment links provided by iyzico. Cash payments are not accepted.

5. Cancellation & Changes

  • The prepayment is required to secure your booking
  • Prepayments are non-refundable Date change requests:
  • May be considered depending on availability
  • MEREK reserves the right to accept or decline such requests

6. No-Show Policy If a guest fails to arrive after confirming the reservation:

  • The payment is non-refundable
  • The reservation is considered cancelled

7. Use of Space & Conduct MEREK is a quiet, focused and respectful environment. Guests are expected to:

  • Respect the working atmosphere
  • Be mindful of others
  • Use shared spaces responsibly MEREK reserves the right to terminate a stay if these expectations are not met. In such cases, no refunds will be issued.

8. Responsibility & Risk MEREK is located in a natural, rural environment. By staying at MEREK, you acknowledge and accept:

  • Natural conditions
  • Environmental risks
  • Physical activities at your own responsibility MEREK is not liable for:
  • Personal injuries
  • Health-related issues
  • Individual risks

9. Personal Belongings Guests are responsible for their own belongings. MEREK is not liable for:

  • Loss
  • Theft
  • Damage

10. Damage to Property Guests are responsible for any damage caused to:

  • The property
  • Equipment
  • Other guests' belongings Such damages must be compensated by the responsible guest.

11. Force Majeure MEREK is not liable for events beyond its control, including:

  • Natural disasters
  • Weather conditions
  • Infrastructure failures In such cases, reservations may be adjusted if possible.

12. Third-Party Services Services such as:

  • iyzico (payments)
  • WhatsApp / Telegram (communication) are subject to their own terms and policies.

13. Changes to Terms MEREK reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The latest version will always be available on the website.
